Il nome Carciofocontento risale a un giorno lontano, a una persona che mi conosce bene, e che un giorno ha commentato un mio taglio di capelli un pò arruffato paragonandolo a quello di un carciofo. Un carciofo contento, però! :-)
Anni dopo, l'ho rispolverato e scelto di utilizzarlo, incoraggiata da una poesia di Neruda che mi ha convinta definitivamente. Il vegetale sorridente popola le mie creazioni e mi ispira simpatia ogni volta che lo disegno. I colori delle sue foglie, così sottili e insolitamente accostati, mi ipnotizzano ogni volta. The pet name "Carciofocontento" dates to some years back, created by a close friend of mine, that know me very well. She started calling me like this, commenting on a particularly messy hairstyle I had back then: a HAPPY carciofo, though. :-)
Years later, I started using it again, convinced by an awesome poem by Pablo Neruda; the smiling veggie is often part of my creations and makes me smile every time. The colours of its leaves always had an hypnotic effect on me: aren't they beautiful, though so unusually matched!?
